Brujos Izalco topped Aguila to advance into the semifinal stage. Brujos Izalco made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Vincentian center Akeme Smart (218-91, college: McCook CC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds. American center Marc Montavious (206-90, college: Georgetown, KY) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Brujos Izalco players scored in double figures. Cuban point guard Osmel Oliva (178-87) replied with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Colombian forward Freddy Asprilla (208-88, college: Canisius) added 11 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Aguila.

Quezaltepeque rallied past San Salvador on the road to pave their way into the semifinal stage. Strangely San Salvador outrebounded Quezaltepeque 55-40 including 22 on the offensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. Eddie Ishman (196-86, college: Miles) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Anthony Brown (196-89, college: Imperial Valley JC) chipped in 23 points. Five Quezaltepeque players scored in double figures. Forward James Milton (204-92, college: Stevenson) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 23 rebounds and forward RJ McGhee (198, college: Oklahoma City) added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. San Salvador's coach Yull Scott rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
